Approx. 8 a.m. 2 months today, on April 13th, I received a call to head to Genesys ER. Later I found out that my daughter’s heart beat stopped and was shocked to a rhythm 3 times in the ambulance during transport.
She was an amazing multi-athlete in school. Who would have known that a defibrillator in her workplace could have jump started her undiagnosed, genetic condition called v-fib. ( Not a-fib). I’m trying not to what if. . . Please, learn CPR, please get an AED (automatic external defibrillator) in places that don’t have one.
It wasn’t the miracle that we were praying for, but it was a miracle! The prayers & thoughts & feelings & stories spoken & unspoken have woke up a caring community. Show a stranger you care, give an unexpected hug, tell someone not expecting it, that you love them.
You just never know.
Oh how this hurts.
