I have been spending most of my time lately at my Aunt Debi’s, the mother of Lindsey, and helping where I may. In the last week I made it up north to my tinyhouse. Been working on getting all ready to travel again with it in tow. Upon my return to Davison I heard the littles needed someone to watch over and was happy to hold space.
I switched locations to the home of Lindsey last night, to give Frank a hand with Lucy and Dominic while he attended a CPR class this morning. Something we all need to do. I know I have not got certified since high-school and it is definitely time to do a refresher course, especially when there are cuties like this to protect. As we now know it can mean life or death whether someone knows how when it is needed. Really it should be common knowledge. Let’s all promise to get trained in such and do our part in that.
The morning with Dominic and Lucy began with French toast, and time hanging out at the van. We got supplies out and worked on our art therapy books together in the sunshine. I am doing one with the kids to help encourage their progress through it. I feel art, especially as therapy is wonderful for any age. The little ones joked about taking over the van… and just that they did. We hung out playing vanlife, as the day warmed up.
Lucy had been wanting to paint with her pup, Axel, so we got everything together for such. I forgot to take a finished picture, so you will have to check out Lucy’s TikTok to see more!
After the canvas was prepared with paint and placed in a baggie with some peanut butter on top, she headed out to Axel so he could make his masterpiece.
As it got hot, we lost Dominic to the house. Although, he would come and visit us outside from time to time. I am so grateful for the return of warmth, and ever so happy to be outdoors as much as possible. We all enjoyed some Gelato from their grandpa’s shop, after lunch. It was lemon custard and so good!
Lucy got her daddy to get some water balloons and had a little water flight of her own. She is too funny sometimes.
After that she was still craving water play and got her little pool out, filled it up, and transformed into a mermaid!
I dried the tail awhile on the van before heading out for the night. This is indeed how it works for a traveling mermaid!
In just a day we will be transforming into unicorns, a dragon, fairies and more for a magical forest gathering. Now to get all together that will be needed for such a magical moment. I am excited to take the tinyhouse on our next little sojourn!
